Buzzfeed News Reporter, Salvador Hernandez in his article "North Korea Claims It Fired A New Missile That Can Reach The Entire Mainland US," alleges that North Korea has fired a new missile on Wednesday that has potential to range in U.S. territory. Hernandez's diction is simplistic and easy to understand, by utilizing words such as "pre-dawn", "demonstrated", and "combat", in order for a wider range of people, to be able to understand the information he is stating. The author's point of view, is an American point of view, as he mentions the U.S. president thoughts on the missile North Korea has recently launched. From Wednesday, North Korea has achieved to develop a missile that is more powerful than any missile created by them before, it is efficient enough to reach mainland of the United States. Then, the author develops his claim by using logos and ethos by expressing specific details of the launching of the missile, like "The Pentagon confirmed the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile took place around 3:17 am Pyongyang time, or 1:17 p.m. ET. The missile fell into the Pacific Ocean after flying about 600 miles." According to the Pentagon, the launch of North Korea's newest missile was around 3:17 a.m. Pyongyang time and flew around 600 miles. After Hernandez, states about the emergency UN Security Council meeting that is being requested by the U.S. Ambassador to Japan and South Korea ,"US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, as well as her Japan and South Korea counterparts, requested an emergency UN Security Council meeting in response to the launch." The US Ambassador Nikki Haley to UN, Japan, and South Korea has requested an emergency UN Security Council meeting about North Korea's latest missile launch, that is able to reach mainland in the United States. Finally, the author talks about how North Korea's relationships with other countries recently, "Tensions between North Korea and its neighbors in the Pacific, as well as the United States, have intensified in the last year, with Trump trading insults with regime leader Kim Jong In." Since the last year, North Korea has intensified their relationship with the United States, since the United States' President Donald J. Trump has insulted the North Korean dictator Kim Jong In.
